  1. Hello,Neil. Here is a wonderful site!

Your discography is so useful for me to collect the old CD, and I remember when you were in VOW WOW, you said in an interview you wrote the lyrics in Bernie Marsden’s album. Which number did you write the lyrics? If you remember, please tell me.

In 1986, I heard the news you played in Hidemi Ishikawa’s album. It was big surprise for me and I sent you a letter with the birthday present. And I got an answer from you! I can’t explain how happy I was!

Your letter is my treasure. Thank you so much!

  2. Hi Neil

I have always been a great fan of you Bass playing, have mostly been listening to Whitesnake tracks, but i diddent know that you have played on so many albums, heard you in well rock you, for about four year ago, diddent at that time know that it was you playing, saw it first at the end, i knew that i have heard that sound befor ;O) , my greatest respect to you, for the way that you play .

    Kind regards Klaus E
    Denmark

  3. Nice list, but I think these are missing on it :
Micky Moody & Friends : Live & Rockin’
    Tony Martin : Scream
Tony Iommi : The 1996 Sessions
    Aquarium : Aquarium.

    Cheers

    • I’ve added Live & Rockin’, which I meant to do some months ago – thanks Yves! I’m pretty sure I’m not on Scream, as I don’t recognise the track Raising Hell, which is supposed to be a Sabbath recording. More likely to be Geoff Nicholls on bass. I overdubbed some bass on The 1996 DEP Sessions, but they ended up using Glenn Hughes’s parts, so I’m not on that album. I’ve never heard of Aquarium by Aquarium!

  4. Wow… didn’t realise you had such a vast history before/after Whitesnake, which is where I first heard your bass playing. Gonna take some searching out some of this stuff, but it’s worth it. Lovin’ the sound of your bass on so many tracks – none of this slap/jazz stuff – good, solid, locked into the drum, hitting the right note and keeping the rhythm.

  5. Hello, I think your blog might be having browser compatibility issues.

When I look at your blog in Chrome, it looks fine but when opening
in Internet Explorer, it has some overlapping.
I just wanted to give you a quick heads up!
    Other then that, terrific blog!

    • I really need to overhaul and update my website – however, as it’s constructed using WordPress, I would have thought that it would display OK whatever the browser. I don’t use IE myself, and my impression is that it’s rather problematic compared to other browsers. Thanks for the comments!
